American Theatre is proud to be the venue for Theatrical Mustang, an independently produced podcast from actor-writer-activist Woodzick. Each month they bring listeners interviews with unbridled talent and cultural trailblazers from across the country.

Star Finch is a San Franciscan trying her best to hold ground amid the erasure of gentrification. Currently the Mellon Foundation Playwright in Residence at Campo Santo and Crowded Fire Theater, she’s also an alumni of the Resident Playwrights Program (2018-2022) at Playwrights Foundation. In July, Star received an inaugural Playwrights Foundation Launch Award in recognition her career’s dynamic liftoff in the Bay Area. Finch’s plays include H.O.M.E. [Hookers on Mars Eventually] and Bondage (Relentless Award honorable mention). Her multidisciplinary collaborations include Campo Santo’s Ethos de Masquerade (with Global Street Dance Masquerade) and Crowded Fire’s Death Become Life (with Ensemble Mik Nawooj and AXIS Dance Company). Her most recent plays include Josephine’s Feast, co-produced by Campo Santo, and Bondage, available via Broadway Play Publishing Inc., which had its regional premiere this fall at Undermain Theatre in Dallas.
