Cecily Strong and David Zayas Will Lead Brooklyn Laundry World Premiere
The new work from John Patrick Shanley is getting an Off-Broadway bow via Manhattan Theatre Club.
Full casting has been unveiled for Manhattan Theatre Club‘s upcoming world premiere Off-Broadway production of John Patrick Shanley‘s Brooklyn Laundry, performing at New York City Center's Stage I beginning February 6, 2024 ahead of a February 28 opening night. Shanley is directing.
The play centers on three sisters and a guy who run a Brooklyn laundry, and the “savage tricks life plays on them,” according to press notes. The production's creative team is to be announced.
Manhattan Theatre Club is currently hosting the Broadway premiere for Joshua Harmon's Prayer for the French Republic, beginning performances December 19 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. After in MTC's Broadway space will be Amy Herzog's Mary Jane, set to play the Friedman beginning in Spring 2024 and starring Rachel McAdams. Brooklyn Laundry is the company's only announced Off-Broadway show for 2024 so far.
