If you are looking for one decadent way to spend your New Year’s Eve, look no further than Decadence, Colorado! This majestic festival takes place in Denver this December 30th and 31st at the Colorado Convention Center.
I’ve been to Decadence a few times before so here are a few tips- first off, use the coat check. It’s cold out there. You can wear whatever you want but please don’t get frostbite as you stand outside for some time. While the check-in is inside, you may be outside after the event waiting for your cab or Uber and you don’t want to freeze!
Speaking of cabs and Ubers, book ahead of time for your Uber if you don’t want to pay surge prices. I typically got a cab instead because it was cheaper than the surge prices. I had a lot of trouble getting reception to even book an Uber after the show… so plan ahead. Or, if you want to drive, use the ParkWhiz app to find nearby parking you can book in advance.
Finally, Denver offers a great program that will cover your taxi fees on New Year’s Eve! While this link is old, the information is still valid. I’ve personally used the Sawaya Law Firm and they reimbursed my fee.
