Artist Biography

Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway is a bluegrass band out of Nashville. Molly Tuttle is a singer/songwriter, banjo player, and guitarist who keeps the bluegrass tradition alive with her flatpicking, clawhammer, and crosspicking styles. In 2017, she became the first woman to win the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Guitar Player of the Year Award. The following year, she won the award again in addition to being named the Americana Music Association’s Instrumentalist of the Year. She has since become a staple in bluegrass and this year won the Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album for Crooked Tree. Molly is bald due to Alopecia Areata, a common autoimmune skin disease that causes hair loss. She is one of the 6.8 million people in the U.S. that has this disease. She has shared her story about her struggles with the disease as a shining beacon to give hope to those in a similar situation.
