Artist Biography

MUNA is a Los Angeles-based trio that delivers pop from a queer perspective. The group formed in 2013 by students studying at the University of Southern California. The next year they released their debut EP More Perfect which combined ’80s new wave, synth pop, and R&B. In 2015, MUNA continued writing new material while also getting signed to RCA in the U.S. and National Anthem in the U.K. They released their next EP Loudspeaker in May the following year and then their debut album About U in 2017. The album reached the Top Ten of Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums Chart. Their second album Saves the World arrived in 2019 and also made the Heatseekers Chart.
