‘Welcome To Rockville’ has been a beloved festival for many years. It was started in 2011, and is put on by Danny Wimmer Presents. Rockville returns for its twelfth consecutive year (save for a break in 2020 due to COVID) with a stacked lineup spanning generations of rock music. It will be taking place at Daytona International Speedway, in Florida, on May 9th-May 12th.
The lineup features many different genres, boasting over 150 artists that will perform over the four day event. This includes household names such as Mötley Crüe, Foo Fighters, Jelly Roll, and Cypress Hill. You can also expect heavy hitters like Slipknot, Anthrax, The Offspring, Breaking Benjamin, and Mudvayne, along with an EXTENSIVE list of other artists. I am really looking forward to Tech N9ne, Fear Factory, Skillet, Hed PE, and my favorite, Kim Dracula. This lineup truly covers so many styles, there’s absolutely something for everyone, I guarantee it.
Rockville has two main payment plans when it comes to passes/camping, either Buy Now, Pay Later through the “Shop” app, or put a $1 deposit down, and your cart is split into four monthly payments. Tickets for this event are sold as either a 4-day pass or single day passes. VIP options available for additional cost, but the 4-day passes were reasonably priced, with tiers ranging from $270 to $330 (plus fees), a fair price for so many artists. Camping passes and hotel packages are also available for purchase within a wide price range. (Hotel packages start at 10% down.) All in all it’s shaping up to be a great event and I can’t wait for this epic rock festival.
