Julie Benko, who played Ruth in the recent Broadway musical Harmony, makes her Café Carlyle debut beginning May 3.

Benko, also acclaimed for playing Thursday evenings as the alternate Fanny Brice in the Broadway revival of Funny Girl, plays the Manhattan venue through May 4 in an autobiographical concert titled Standby, Me. The actor, accompanied by spouse Jason Yeager on piano, will reflect on her
career, singing the praises of the oft-unsung hero of
Broadway: the understudy.
